Ah, COVID.  I won’t dwell on it--we talk about it often enough as it is!--but I can’t quite ignore it, either.  This dear couple had been planning a big family shoot for some time--they have children scattered all over the province, and a married daughter in Australia, and were looking forward to a great big reunion.   You can guess what happened……

After trying to re-schedule a few times, they did what all couples in ministry do--the best they can with what they have where they are.  Ken has served as a pastor of a local church for several years, and has a kindly, sympathetic nature that has made him a much-beloved figure in his community.  His dear wife, Maryann, has laboured alongside him all of their married life, and it was such a privilege to see a couple who have lived and worked through so much over so many years gathering their proverbial roses together.  The love they have for one another was wonderful to see.  I’m so looking forward to the time when they can reunite with all of their children and grandchildren--the joy and smiles on that day will surely make up for every moment lost, and I can’t wait to capture it.
