It takes a village to raise a child, but it takes a team of seriously dedicated friends to pull off a dream wedding! Tim and Kelsey got married at Fanshawe Pioneer Village in London, Ontario—it’s this charming living history museum that recreates 19th-century townships, and it was a beautiful setting for their ceremony and reception. Kelsey is an award-winning equestrienne, and three friends brought her horses to the venue so we could get some beautiful shots of them with their bride. A family friend created one of the most stunning wedding cakes I’ve ever seen, and Tim performed a song that he’d composed himself for Kelsey during the ceremony. Every detail signified the love of their community for the two of them and the joy they felt in their union, but my favourite moment of the day was when they knelt to pray together before making their vows. Their mutual love for Christ and desire to glorify him in their lives was evident from the moment I met them, and it was beautiful to see a young couple beginning their married life in humble dependence on the Lord that called them together. With such a village to support them and a great God to sustain them, I could tell that this was just the first of many happy days together.
