Mini sessions are a beautiful thing! They're a little easier on the pocketbook, and Mom gets updated family images and portraits of growing children. Some parents love that they're not super long - just 15 minutes - for those kiddos who have other places to be. When you arrive at your mini session, I greet the family and introduce myself to your kiddos, if they don't know me already. Otherwise I just chat and say hi and we get straight to work. We start with some casual family shots to warm up the kids, and then go straight to the must-have photos. First things first, a smile and look at the camera portrait of the family! This is the coveted photos for Grandma/Oma/Nana, and often a Christmas card! Then comes portrait of each child, the siblings together, Mom and Dad alone, and then after that we have some fun. It usually involves dancing and running - something to get grins going! If there's water near by, you can bet we are throwing and skipping rocks.
