This was such a special shoot for me—I had the privilege of capturing both Ryan and Lexi’s engagement, and then their wedding, and now, the arrival of their firstborn. What a joy. It was a beautiful day with bright sunshine lighting up their warm, inviting country home, baby Bowan nestling in his parents’ arms, and the happy contentment that marks the safe arrival of a new life.
One of the things I love most about newborn sessions is capturing images in the nursery—I love seeing baby in his or her crib, surrounded by handmade gifts and special stuffies. (Lexi’s Mom ordered a customized teddy bear with Bowan’s birth stats embroidered on it—such a great idea!) It was an easy, low-key shoot that captured the little mementos and keepsakes that celebrate the blessing of a new baby, and I’m so happy that Ryan and Lexi permitted me to share yet another family milestone with them.
