I’ve known Michelle for many years, and watching her bloom into wife and motherhood has been one of the great pleasures of my time with her. She and Kyle have the most beautiful family, and are so at ease with their children and each other--the way they love one another shows itself in every little gesture and smile, and it’s reflected in the happy faces and eager personalities that revolve around them. Each child is so unique, and I had so much fun capturing that in each portrait.
We shot these in one of my favourite locations; a tiny little spot off a trail in Brantford where the light comes in just right, and there are plenty of sticks to collect and rocks to jump off. Clothes and shoes may take a bit of a beating, but they’re signs of a healthy and vibrant family, and that makes every stain a beautiful memory.
